This one is a milestone. August marks one year of Stroll Firethorne, and the cover celebrates it with the Barthel family, Ron and Angela and their kids, transplants who have made Charlotte home. Angela's story carries the issue's quiet through-line: diagnosed with breast cancer through a routine mammogram in 2025 and now cancer-free, she has become an advocate for annual screenings and preventive care. It is a fitting way to mark twelve months of a magazine built around neighbors.

Precious Pet this month is Jacob the Pug, who eats chicken and sweet potato twice a day, sleeps on the cold bathroom hardwoods when he gets too warm, and loses his mind with joy at the mention of his best friend Austin.
