Christine Meier spent years navigating her own skin challenges before she ever imagined opening a studio. After dealing with autoimmune-related skin issues and watching illness and treatment affect her parents' skin and overall well-being, she began to see skincare through a broader lens — not as a cosmetic routine but as something deeply connected to physical, emotional and lifestyle health.
That shift in perspective became the foundation for Nourish & Nurture Esthetics, a boutique facial studio in Ballantyne that opened its doors in August 2025.
A Studio Built on Experience
Meier is a Union County resident of more than 20 years. She grew up between New York and New Jersey, spent time in Florida and ultimately found her way back to the Carolinas — a path she affectionately calls being a "halfback." When the opportunity arose to open her studio within the same area where she first fell in love with South Charlotte decades ago, it felt serendipitous.
Her philosophy rejects quick fixes and one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, every service is carefully customized, taking into account skin concerns, stress levels, lifestyle factors and long-term goals.
"My studio is intentionally designed to feel welcoming, peaceful and unhurried," Meier said, "because I believe everyone deserves a space where they can exhale."
Drawing on a background in hospitality and inspiration from high-end resorts around the world, Meier created an experience where advanced skin knowledge meets warmth, presence and ease. The studio environment mirrors that ethos — stylish yet calm, with a subtle tropical-vacation feel that signals this is not just a facial but an experience.

A First-Hand Experience
Content Coordinator Delia McMullen visited the studio and chose the Not So Basic, Basic Facial.
"From the moment I walked in, I knew this was going to be different," McMullen said. "Christine spent real time getting to know me — my skin, my concerns and what I actually needed."
The 90-minute service included red light therapy and vibroacoustic meditation, which McMullen described as "next-level soothing" and "honestly felt like healing." Between the calming environment and Christine's intuitive, thoughtful care, McMullen said she left feeling grounded, refreshed and genuinely nurtured.
"This wasn't just a facial — it was time well spent, and exactly the kind of self-care that actually makes a difference."
Grounded Advice
Meier's advice to clients is refreshingly practical: be consistent, protect your skin barrier, wear sunscreen and choose treatments tailored to your individual skin. Healthy skin, she reminds us, is a long game — one that reflects stress, hormones, immune health and daily habits.
Nourish & Nurture Esthetics also offers a monthly membership option, ensuring consistent care with added perks.
